Conspiracy

Matt is convinced that there is a conspiracy preventing him from attending school functions. He thinks that the Little Gym and the school call each other and plan their events on the same day. Maybe the school does not want him around? I know the girls love having him at the gym. We all had a great time. Even Grandma and Grandma came to watch our budding gymnasts prance around in their Halloween costumes.
They unveiled their 2008 costumes today, Sydney IS Cinderella.
Lior IS Belle.
Jordan IS Minnie Mouse and she has never been happier!
I have to say that our girls are amazing and extremely talented. While the grandparents were sitting outside watching the owner of the gym came over to tell them how talented Jordan was. When you watch her it is hard to believe that she is not even two years old.
The rings are a new addition at the gym and the girls could not get enough of them. They were good at them too! Sydney actually flipped all the way over. Lior was good at pulling her legs up and putting them into the rings. Jordan was able to get her feet up and hang forever.
The girls had a wonderful time playing together, something they do not get to do often at the gym.
Sydney walked the beam, alone. Being in a class without us has given her a tremendous level of confidence.
Even Akiva had a good time sitting on Matt's shoulders.
Can you tell they like each other today?

Animal farm

They had a petting zoo at school today and we were invited to come and play. I wonder who likes these events more, me or the kids.
I had a blast and could have stayed and played with the animals all day, the kids not so much. I got to hold a bunny and the kids got to pet it. I definitely got the better part of that deal.
There were goats and sheep.
A pony or a donkey, I can not remember.
The girls pet a tortoise. I was shocked that Jordan pet it because she never ever wants to touch the animals. Of course my camera was acting up and I missed the Kodak moment, very frustrating!
My favorite animal of the day was the dog. She was beautiful and the size of a small horse. Jordan loved her too, she wanted me to pick her up so she could kiss her. I loved that dog, it makes me want another one!

Not to be forgotten

Sydney and Lior got haircuts too. Not our best cuts but they are becoming pros at sitting in the chair and following directions.
It was funny, when we walked in the girl who was cutting the hair asked who was going first and both Sydney and Lior in unison pointed to Jordan and said "She is". Nothing like throwing my baby to the wolves!
Lior went after Jordan.

Sydney was pleased with going last. She is such a ham.

Jordan's haircut

My baby, who had almost no hair three months ago got her first haircut on Sunday. Where does the time go? She was so brave, not a single tear or complaint. She sat on Matt's lap without issue. I wish her haircut was better.

I wish she looked happier. Matt and I were less than thrilled with the new princess store we went to, next time we are hiking up to the "real princess store" so she can get a real princess haircut.

Boo at the zoo

We went trick-or-treating at the zoo on Saturday. When I told the girls what we would be doing they thought I was kidding around. "We are giving the animals candy?!!" They were extremely happy to find out that they were the ones getting the candy.
Of course we went in costume, any excuse to dress up like a princess. The girls got their face painted for the very first time. Sydney loved the idea and went first. She told them she wanted to be Mulan. She also wanted a lizard on her arm.
Lior wanted to be Snow White and that is what she got.She was absolutely thrilled with her sun "stamp".
Jordan wanted no part of the face painting or the airbrushed "stamps".
Akiva enjoyed his wild animal stamp. I thought Matt was nuts for airbrushing my baby but he did not mind and it was cute. He had a great time at the zoo, hanging out in the baby B'Jorn and he was glad that he was not wearing his costume it was hot.

Happy birthday Grandma & Danny

October is a very busy month for birthdays. We celebrated Grandma and Danny's birthday on Sunday. It is really nice having a lot of family around for celebrations. It is always a party!
And we know the kids love to party.
They all loved the cake (even though I did not make it!).

YUMMY!!!

Another first

Have you noticed that most of Akiva's "first" post are food related? Well this one is no different. He tasted "puffs" for the first time on Sunday.
The girls reminded me that he did not have teeth but had a blast feeding him regaurdless.
We think he liked it.

Dollies

My mom made the girls dolls! She knitted these beautiful dolls for the girls and they just love them. Sydney has not slept without her doll since my mom gave it to her. "It has yellow hair, dats what I wanted!" My mom brought over a book several months ago and asked the girls to pick out the doll that they wanted. She asked them to tell her the color of the dress and hair and imagine our surprise when three dolls appeared in the colors that the girls ordered! Jordan wanted a purple dress and brown hair.Lior wanted the same color as Jordan. Sydney wanted a pink dress and a doll with yellow hair and that is just what she got!
Rumor has it that there is a pattern for a cowboy doll for Akiva. Something tells me it will not be wearing a pink or purple dress or wearing earrings!

Spooky carnival

Last weekend we took the kids to a spooky carnival at the museum. The girls loved being in costume and we had a great time. The highlight of the day was riding the ponies. Sydney is so brave, she walked right up to that pony and pet him, no fear. She climbed right onto Elmer and rode away. She had a death grip on Grandpa's hand but she did it. Jordan tried to sit on the horse but wanted no part of it. Lior stood far away and watched as Sydney rode away.
I was so upset because Lior talked about riding the pony the day before. "Mommy I am going to get on that pony and get off and do it again and again." She wanted absolutely no part of it. We walked away and enjoyed the rest of the carnival. The kids picked up ducks and won candy. They dug for Dinosaur eggs. Kicked huge soccer balls. Posed for pictures. And rode a trackless train.Sydney decided she wanted to ride the pony again, this time she rode Thunder. When she heard the name of the horse she said "Under Like the sky Mommy!"She was so excited and only wanted Grandma to walk with her while she rode.
Lior watched Sydney climb on that horse and decided that she was riding this time. She took one look at Elmer and decided she was not riding that one and Thunder was too big so she waited for Flash. She climbed on and loved every minute of it.
She liked it so much she rode him twice. They both liked it so much they wanted to go back the next day to ride them again. Jordan could not wait to leave so she could dive into her candy.Akiva was just happy sitting and watching all the action. Just wait until next year when he is ready to ride Flash, Thunder and Elmer, he was taking notes!
